Djibo BANAOU, an agronomist specializing in agrarian systems and rural development, has worked as a Food Security National Consultant at the Food Crises Control Unit (Cellule Crises Alimentaires=CCA) Niger Primer Minister Office.
Since august 2005, he has worked full time for the reinforcement and improvement of the activities of the Food Crises Control Unit (CCA).
Specifically, he is responsible for support to CCA in collaboration with the office of the UNDP within the framework of the setting of the Project "Support to the Management of the Post Crisis phase to the sustainable development in Niger"

Also, he has coordinated Lillato communities Development project, from January to December 2006. et Action”, an international NGO in Niger from 2002 to 2003.

Djibo had previously held a senior executive position in the Ministry of Agricultural Development..

For the NGO Care International, he was in charge of implementing strategies and technical matters in relation to livelihoods and security; from 1999 to 2001.

In his region, Djibo had coordinated agricultural activities and implemented development projects in areas as diverse as agro-meteorological issues, foodstuffs, the environment, and health and nutrition. He had also worked on regional and rural conflicts in Tahoua, Niger. He was the permanent secretary to the committee organizing World Food Day and the National Tree Celebration, and had edited the newspaper “Bulletin d'information pour la diffusion des technologies appropriées en milieu rural”. And currently he is an adviser in various courses on the MARP agricultural systems.
