Born in London in 1976, Howard Hudson has worked in five European countries. Beyond writing for magazines in Belgium and Italy, he has drafted 100 reports for the European Social Fund, brochures for EU summits, and a Corporate Social Responsibility report for Air France-KLM.

In 2009-10, he worked as editor and project manager at the European Journalism Centre, specializing in media ethics and science journalism.

Howard now works for UNU-MERIT, a UN research agency focusing on the governance of science, technology and innovation, with an emphasis on creation, diffusion and access to knowledge.
