I now work as Senior Associate Scientist (Rice Knowledge Bank Coordination) with the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) in the Philippines from my former position as Information Specialist. I served as a Consultant Science Editor/Writer for the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA) in Syria (secondment from IRRI in 2001). I was former Editor of IRRI's in-house publication and was former News Editor of Rice Today, IRRI's quarterly international publication. I'm also an active member of the Philippine Agricultural Journalists, Inc., Philippine Science Journalists, Inc., and the Laguna Information Officers Network. I was former Press Officer of the Australian Embassy Manila, former news correspondent for News Herald (during the Cory Aquino administration), and former News & Special Events reporter for the Philippine Broadcasting Service Network (PBS). I obtained my Masters in Communication Management from the Asian Institute of Journalism and Communication(AIJC), where I now teach Photojournalism.

I'm Ana from Argentina. I mostly work with enviromental issues and sustained development. In Argentina I also cover some agricultural issues, mostly related with crops (specially soy and cereals)
Thank you for your mail and kind notes. I will be happy if you please join my friend's list. I am pleased to find some one from International Rice Research Institute (IRRI). In our country, IRRI is very much familiar name, because widespread variety of paddy is known as 'IRRI'. Looking for mutual cooperation with IRRI in near future.
