Hi Luisa, I'm fine. I vanished for a while ... edited three books and wrote a fourth one. I feel like I've been in prison. It's a bit of a shock to come out, blinking in the daylight!
hi valeria, let's try to find useful ways of using this network. it is a huge group of science journalists around the world!! By the way: as soon as I have time, I will invite the people from Santa Cruz to join us. take care
hey priya, the Portuguese TAP sometimes is less expensive. Air France or Iberia also sometimes has good prices. you did check BA, right? about your previous message: as you know Brazil is huuuge with a lot of research institutions. as your theme is broad, you might have too many options. the Brazilian agency CNPq ( www.cnpq.br ) has the database with all the Brazilian scientists. You can access it (search for curriculo lattes ) and you can search by key words. it is in portuguese though. one of the main research institutions in biomedicine is Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (www.fiocruz.br). The press officer is very good (wagner, wagnerol@cict.fiocruz.br ). if you visit Rio and have time for a beer, give me a ring. it would be lovely to see you.
cheers
