I work in London as the press officer for the International Institute for Environment and Development. As a former journalist (news editor of SciDev.Net) and former scientist (doctorate in rain forest ecology), I am interested in ways of improving the communication of research findings that are relevant to public policy in general and sustainable development in particular. I set up the Research and Media Network for journalists, science communicators and researchers to share information, contacts and opportunities. I am also a freelance illustrator, most recently of the zoology textbook Extraordinary Animals by Ross Piper - http://ms-illustrator.blogspot.com/

Hi Mike,

Not entirely sure at this point if I'm going to Bonn either. It depends on how my work shapes up by the end of the month.

I think I heard at Poznan that the IIED (with the BCAS?) is implementing a large CBA project in Bangladesh sometime soon. Is that correct? Can you tell me where I can find more information on that?

Many thanks and hope you're well!
