Most importantly, I'm the mother of four beautiful children ages 8 - 13 (as of 2007). More relevant to everyone here, I'm a science editor and journalist. I've worked for most of my career at IslamOnline.net, and have also freelanced for several international media organizations. I'm a founding member and the current president (as of...again...2007) of the Arab Science Journalists Association. I'm also the treasurer and a past program committee chair of the World Federation of Science Journalists. I'm the Middle East regional coordinator of the WFSJ's 2-year mentoring program for science journalists in Africa and the Middle East (SjCOOP). I have a bachelors degree in medicine and by the end of May 2007 (basically within days) I'll have a masters degree in journalism and mass communications.
