Assistant Professor of Botany and Director of Research at Eritrea Institute of Technology, Asmara, Eritrea. Editor of fortnightly newsletter and science magazine of the institute. Also serving as writer/editor/researcher for several UNV/UNDP offices and developmental organizations, as an online volunteer.Winner of Online Volunteer of Year Award in 2005 bestowed upon by UNV.

I used to be a science journalist and continue to mainain interest in the media as a result so I regularly write. I try serve as bridge between research and the press having spent time in both worlds. Otherwise what I enjoy most is learning something new from whatever source.
