I've worked with Arup too though on a freelance basis - in the marketing department writing articles. Perhaps we could keep in touch as I like what Arup does. What is the latest news on the company's most environmentally-friendly projects?
Cheers for that. O2 (the ecodesign network) is growing all the time and you might find them quite an interesting bunch. Axel Thallemer, for instance, designs inflatable, reusable stadiums!
I'm now staff writer at the International Institute for Environment and Development. So: no ecodesign, but I certainly retain my interest in that broad field, and I feel designers have a massive role to play in, for instance, mitigating climate change. And of course now that the world will be predominantly urbanised in 2008, their role in a fashioning a green made environment will be that much bigger.
IIED focuses on environmental shifts such as climate change and biodiversity loss in Africa, Asia and South America, generally working with poor and marginalised people.
