"Interesting. However, these obstacles cannot be generalised. They are highly cultural dependent. Ther are countries where the media are highly interested in science. But low focus of governments on science seems to be quite widespread."

"If you look for climate experts, you are in the wrong place here. Here are mainly journalists, no climate experts. So you should look elsewhere or just go to the next Climate Conference in Durban/South Africa end of November. Ask your questions…"

Earth Journalism Award to Oliver Loefken

Oliver Loefken, vice-chair of the German Science Writers TELI won the Earth Journalism Award with his article about Masdar City, Abu Dhabi. Masdar City is a test-tube town designed to spare the environment both greenhouse gases and waste. He will receive his award during the UN Conference on Climate Change in Copenhagen, 7-18 December.
