I'm a science journalists working with the News Agency of Nigeria, hold a BA degree in Mass Communication from the Benue State university. Married with two kids.
I had an interview with a scientist on his recent discovery, all i gathered from the interview were his own side other scientists decline comment on the issue. He told me the discovery was published in a science journal that i can't access. what do i do
Can I suggest you put all the contact details for the Nigerian Science Association on your page, because I'm going to do that for the South African version (gets luanched later this month) and this might be the best one-stop-shop for all Afro science organisations.
Hi Augustine.... so sorry for this very late reply.. haven't visited the site for a while as I've been busy and been out of town... anyway, to answer your question, unfortunately, the Mekong fellowship is only open to Mekong-based journalists because we're trying to encourage them to tackle cross border issues in Mekong countries... anyway, to give you more information, please visit http://www.newsmekong.org.
Hei Augustine
I work in Ethiopia one of the poorest countries in Africa. Access to reasonable internet speeds is difficult and i am limited to about an hour a day. :-D Love it here though. I am working for a media women's organisation. Have a nice weekend
Hi Augustine, not sure if i ever responded to this. Sorry for the delay. No i was not at Melbourne. Never been to Europe actually. Hopefully someday. Keep in touch. :-D
Nice to meet you too!
I would love to exchange information and knwledge. It opens doors for more inspiration and creativity.

I´m Laura, from Argentina. I read the message you left on my page, I would also like to know you more! During the conference we were so busy, with so many things to do, that we couldn´t talk!!
Surely it is great to work with the News Agency of Nigeria, isn´t it? I´m at a science, medicine and technology section of a weekly newspaper, I have fun there, I´m learning a lot!
OH! I would like to know if you are participating in the Peer to Peer Program of the World Federation of Science Journalists. Here in Argentina we don´t have that program, so I wonder how it is like.
Hi there,
Used to work for daily broadsheets but now, with my present job, I'm learning more and more about online stuff. Unlike other wire services, we don't 'break' the news but look into the story behind the story :) I edit online content and also help out in the workshops for Mekong journalist fellows that we hold every year. It's very interesting and very 'enlightening' :) Thanks for reading the info re Asia Media Report. Please share the info with your friends and colleagues :)
