Q&A: 'Jasad Will Find Ways to Assert Itself'

"We told you so," is one phrase that 'Jasad' magazine founder and editor-in-chief Joumana Haddad never ever wants to hear from family and friends. When she decided to push through with the no-holds-barred publication, people told her she was crazy and predicted she would give in to pressure from critics.

But two issues later, Haddad looks at the magazine's future with optimism. If the 3,000 maiden issue copies that were sold out in 11 days were any indication, then it looks like… Continue

In Lebanon, 'Jasad' Magazine Defies Taboos

By Lynette Lee Corporal

BANGKOK, Mar 16 (AMF) — 'Jasad', a Lebanese magazine that is challenging taboos in the Arab world, has gone full speed ahead with its second issue this month - at the risk of earning the ire of more conservative sectors.

Hi Lynette
I was a science journalist in India for quite some time. Except the national newspapers in India none of them give good coverage on science with analytical news. What we see here are just news items which are not self explanatory.
