Journalism is empowerment for the writer as much as for those who they write about, or the issues they write on.
It is a concentration of powers of all the vast majority of humanity which toil through life usually unaware of denial of rights or without exercising their rights.
Hence I love to work with this feeling that I have to speak for many others who cant raise their voice.
This helps me look at issues ranging from water and air to livelihoods, rural poverty, agriculture, education, and health in a manner that goes beyond the immediate news value. This sounds pompous but I speak for all journalists and it is for each of us to know how far we succeed in speaking for the millions. Hope to make new friends and learn more.
