I am touring India between 24th January and 17th February visiting 6 cites, to promote my novels by penguin - fated to love and love's fury. hope you get a chance to see them some time. They are the same novels The holy woman and typhoon. penguin publishers changed the titles and covers.

You have an interesting background.What sort of creative writing are you involved in. India is a v. imp country for me at the moment. My 2 novels The Holy Woman and Typhoon are going to be published by Penguin India in English, Hindi and urud in the next few mths.
In the new yr I am hoping to tour India to promote my novels and to offer teachers training on Quality and excellence in teaching and learning in schools, colleges and Univerities. At the moment I am researching into possible cities and institutions to visit and link up with.
I am really looking forward to visitng India. I have just returned from a similar v. successful tour of Indoneisa - that is where I met Maria Andriana, who encouraged me to join this network. I think I don't fully qualify for this network as I am not doing any particular research as most of the other 'friends' seem to be involved with,

I'm honored to accept your invitation to be your friend on the network. I'd be interested to learn of your experiences with bioremediation in environment and sustainability sectors. If I can ever finish the writing I'm working on now, I hope to post a description of studies I've conducted in bioremediation of oil spills in Louisiana (US) fresh marshes, and how corporate and governmental policy can help or hinder sustainable management goals.

On my run around in the African Technology Developement Forum (ATDF you can visist the website at http://www.atdforum.org/) - a very recommendable Forum in research & media about current issues, whose journal deals with your issue widely, I came across a very interesting aricle by Dr. Philipp Aerni which could be of great interest to you. It's titled: "The History of Education Institutions in Developed Countries has Lessons for the Reform of the System of Higher Education in Africa". You can check it out at http://www.atdforum.org/IMG/pdf_Lesson_on_reforms_of_HE_Howells-2.pdf). Another interesting article in the same journal is "Knowledge, Technological Learning and Innovation for Development: The Findings, Arguments and Recommendations of UNCTAD’s Least Developed Countries Report 2007", by Thomas D. Nastas. Find it at "http://www.atdforum.org/IMG/pdf_Science_Technology_Innovation_LDCs.pdf ). The ATDF for example, stresses the important role of an establishment of entrepreneurship universities on the african continent so as to teach the Africans business skills and a money-fabricating atitutude. The main idea is that all the developement help will not help if the fundamental thinking structures do not change. The universities were set up according to the goals of the colonialists which aimed at "producing" clerks and not at entrepreneurship. These are the only articles I can recommend as per now. However, they can also give you more hints about other published information.
