Russia: Should protect the Human Rights defenders and investigate the killing of Natalia Estemirova.
The Federation of Somali Human Rights Activists (FAHRA) calls on the Russian government to protect the human rights defenders and do trustable investigation towards the assassination of Mrs. Natalia Estemirova.
Natalia Estemirova, a leading human rights defender in Chechnya, was found shot dead in Ingushetia on July 15, 2009, Human Rights Watch said today.
“We send our deep-seated condolence to her family and colleagues” said FAHRA.
She is the second human rights activist murdered in Russia in 2009 for trying to publicize grave and continuing Human Rights abuses in Chechnya human rights Watch added.
