Bringing people together to improve communication of research findings

There has been a story for a bit while about how newspapers are dying, and so they should adjust themselves in order to survive in this fast changing world. It is now widely said that our readers have abandoned us more and more, and that it should be the time that we should look back at our current roles and work, and begin to look at ways to adjust ourselves. The problem is that it's never easy things to do. I'm now kind of feeling such the feeling, and having some questions lingering on my mind too. The critical one is whether we should sacrifice some heavy weight issues and contents and go for something light. But what light does it mean, contents or formats? just want get some ideas to help improve my work. Any one want to share ideas with me, please do not hesitate. Cheers, Piya
