Bringing people together to improve communication of research findings
We produced a short video featuring interviews from the Summer Institute's organizers and its participants explaining the necessity of such training. Enjoy and feel free to share!
Since 2008, public-health professionals and climate scientists from around the world have come to Columbia University to take part in the Summer Institute on Climate Information for Public Health, organized by the International Research Institute for Climate and Society in partnership with the Center for International Earth Science Information Network (CIESIN) and The Mailman School of Public Health.
These professionals spend two weeks here, learning how to use climate information to make better decisions for health-care planning and disease prevention.
