- I'm committed to turning what at first seems to be complex scientific material into highly readable text. "Plain language" is key to communicating -- not only to the general public but between and among scientists in different disciplines. I've worked as a writer since 1980, covering (among other things) Arctic and aboriginal issues, sustainable development, forest renewal, natural hazards, climate change and insect outbreaks.
