I am a Jordanian ecologist by academic background, with working experiences in various environmental management disciplines, and in projects with various national stakeholders and major international organizations. In addition to environmental expertise, I am a professional writer and communicator. I have published 6 books, 20 reports and policy papers and more than 500 articles in environment and sustainable development. Currently I maintain the first blog about environmental issues in the Arab World (www.arabenvironment.net) which focuses on innovations and best practices in implementing sustainable solutions in the Arab countries. Muslims going green? or have they always been?

Environmentalism is a shared conviction among all human races, religions and ideologies and it reflects a sense of deep attachment to sustainable values that is not limited to a particular set of beliefs, more than others.
