Please introduce yourself....
Trained as teacher and geographer. My field of interest is within sustainable agriculture and rural development, including impacts of environmental and societal changes on rural land use as well as pedagogics related to agriculture extension and teaching geography. Work and research experience from Asia (Vietnam, China, Russia, Sri Lanka) and Europe (Sweden, Spain, UK). I'm currently working with food security related to vulnerability to environmental change.

Thanks Elizabeth for your comments. The climate change issue has been further ignited by Australian of the Year Tim Flannery. He has told Papua New Guinea to stop logging companies from cutting down any more trees. I think his comments did not go down well with our Government in here. The Government needs revenue from the industry but at the same time has also considerations for looking after the environment to minimise green house gases emissions. PNG is also a signatory to the Kyoto protocol and the Carbon Trade Pact of soemthing to do with carbon trading.

Hi, glad to see your comment on my page, and I am very pleased to start a discussion with you on China's action against climate change. Though I am not an expert or researcher, I may offer some insights from my reporting experience. But, first, could you please let me know whether you have read the entire text of the climate change program and the White paper you mention (sometimes the different translation confuses me)?
