Dr. Batisha A. F., has got his Ph. D., M. Sc. & B.Sc. from Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University, Egypt. Dr. Batisha has got Distinction grade in "Shared Water Resources Diploma" that has been held at Cairo University. Dr. Batisha has studied several subjects such as water course engineering, hydro-politics, water resources management, river engineering, river Nile development, utilization & planning, international water law, statistics & economics. He has also got Professional Certificates in Computer Aided Engineering, Environmental Engineering and Total Quality Management from The American University in Cairo.

Dr. Batisha has fulfilled many international and regional professional training. The international training has offered in the field of Environmental Impact Assessment in Washington DC & California in USA. The training has been achieved in different centers in USA, such as National Environmental Protection Agency NEPA, (The mission of EPA is to protect human health and to safeguard the natural environment - air, water and land - upon which life depends.), White House, World Bank and Sacramento River Watershed, California, USA. The regional training has held in both Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and Cairo, Egypt, by Eastern Nile Technical Regional Office ENTRO in behave of Eastern Nile Subsidiary Program, Shared Vision Program (SVP), Nile Basin Initiative.

Dr Batisha has many publications in different fields such as Genuine and Sustainable Development, Water Resources Engineering, Environment, Socio-Economic Analysis, Knowledge and Artificial Intelligence - more than 55 scientific and research papers - published in International and Regional Conferences. In his papers, Dr Batisha has solved many scientific and applied problems in different fields such as Genuine Sustainable Development Strategies for Nile River, Magnification of water resources utilization in Nile basin countries, Social role of the engineers, Development of Nonconventional water resources, Fog Collection as a Complementary Water Resource in Egypt, Monitoring of Structures Based Intelligent System, Environmental Knowledge, Egyptian Environmental Code is the Milestone for Better Environment, Environmental and Development Criteria for Drink Water Production, Environmental Balance, Building of Environmental Culture System, Innovation in Water Knowledge, Cloud Seeding, Environmental and Socio-Economic Issues related to Large Irrigation Structure, Sustainable Development of Soil and Water Resources, Criteria for Sanctioning Water Resources Projects, Water resources assessment based on climatic fluctuations in the Nile basin, Selection of Development Priorities, Planning of Environment and Agricultural Waste-Site Layout, Maintaining Reliability of Environmental Systems, Pollution Detection in Environmental Systems.

Dr. Batisha has 21 years of working experience in the assessment of impacts of development programs/projects on the environment. He has worked closely with other members of the team to mainstream crosscutting issues relating to Strategic Environmental Assessment and Environmental Impact Assessment. He has been responsible for the assessment of the environmental effects of the projects proposed, and the formulation of regional environmental guidelines. He has been in charge of preparing alternative scenarios for the programs/projects, and evaluated them and provided the best alternative.
